I can't believe that it has been three weeks. I am so thankful that so many of you have had an interest in this contest. I want to express my gratitude for each and every one of you who have submitted your work. Don't think for a minute that just because your story didn't get a video that your story wasn't awesome. It has been considerably difficult for me to decide, even with the point system established for this contest. Also, don't count yourself out. There is still a chance that you may win. If I do not receive at least five stories in a week, then prior stories will be reconsidered for that week. So, there is still a chance your story could win!
This week's winner is Rachel Fox for her story, "The Exchange". She is a horror writer that has stories published online, and a novel coming out at the end of the year titled, "The Herring Hanger". Horror stories are written to scare us, but they become even more frightening when there is a moral to it. You could say that stories, in general, have a moral to them, but there is a certain vindication we feel when the protagonist gets what they deserve. That is certainly true of The Exchange. Be sure to stop by her awards page to find out more about her work.
Click the button below if you are interested in entering your story into the contest.
And do not forget to give the short story, that you like the best, a thumbs-up in YouTube. Each thumbs-up is a vote towards the top three prizes at the end of the contest. So, don't forget to vote for your favorite. And if you won one of the weekly contests, make sure that you share it with your friends, and family so they can vote for you, too. Entrants can vote, also.
That's all for this week. I can't wait to see what horror awaits me next week. Until then, thank you for reading, watching, and listening!
